Mohr Siebeck is an independent, family-owned publisher based in Tübingen, Germany. Founded in 1801, its aim is to publish academic works of enduring quality, focusing on theology, Jewish studies, religious studies, philosophy, classics, sociology, history, law and economics. Mohr Siebeck publishes series containing both German-language and English-language books. The backlist has well over 1,000 English-language titles in print; some 60 to 70 new titles in English are currently published each year.
