Perennial CA systems offer a range of productivity and ecosystem benefits to resource-poor smallholder farmers as well as to larger-scale producers managing orchards and plantations. Given the attractive economic and environmental value-adding characteristics of perennial CA systems, it is expected that such systems will continue to expand worldwide in the coming decades.
