English summary: The authors of this volume address critical demand for a theological doctrine of the Holy Spirit applicable to contemporary thought. Dogmatic pneumatology is seen as a theological theory of religion which relates analytical and normative perspectives to one another. From a methodological viewpoint this is only made possible by combining historical, cultural and religious analytical, religious psychological and theological approaches. Accordingly, the volume is organized in four sections. Not only does it summarize the current state of the pneumatologic debate, but it also provides perspectives for a further development of this dogmatic didactic approach to form a theological theory of religion combining empirical and normative dimensions.

German description: Die Autoren des vorliegenden Bandes thematisieren die Problemanforderungen fur eine modernegemasse theologische Lehre vom Heiligen Geist. Die dogmatische Pneumatologie kommt als eine theologische Theorie der Religion in den Blick, die analytische und normative Perspektiven aufeinander bezieht. Methodisch ist das nur so moglich, dass historische, kultur- und religionsanalytische, religionspsychologische und theologische Zugange verschrankt werden. Diesem methodischen Erfordernis tragt die Strukturierung des Bandes in vier Abteilungen Rechnung. Es wird nicht nur der gegenwartige Stand der pneumatologischen Debatte zusammengefasst, sondern auch Perspektiven einer Weitergestaltung dieses dogmatischen Lehrstucks zu einer theologischen Religionstheorie werden aufgezeigt, die empirische und normativen Dimensionen miteinander verbindet.
