This chapter discusses the key role of migrant workers in agriculture as well as policies regulating their role and conditions of employment. There is a particular focus on the European Union (EU) with the example of Italy to illustrate issues and policies at a national level. The chapter discusses ethical challenges in framing fair and sustainable policies to support migrant works in agriculture and the wider agri-food supply chain.
