Volume 3 of the 24th edition of the Commentary on the Code of Civil Procedure, of which again twelve volumes are planned, includes §§ 148-270 of the Code of Civil Procedure. In addition to Herbert Roth (§§ 148-165, 214-229, 253-270) who had sole responsibility for the 23rd edition of the volume, Meik Thöne (§§ 166-195) and Florian Loyal (§§ 230-238) have assumed responsibility for sections of the commentary in the new edition. The commentary incorporates current legislation, case law and theory, including the impact of the Consumer Rights Enforcement Act, the regulatory reforms of the (electronic) delivery of electronic documents, which continue the transition to the digital process, as well as the procedural consequences of the Federal Court of Justice's "Dieselgate" decision on the specificity of the lawsuit.
