The European Union promotes the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for consumer disputes. Gordon Kardos examines the impact and the integration process of consumer ADR in England and Germany. The work analyses the goals and functions of ADR with regard to their political-economic steering effects. The legal comparison further focuses on procedural and substantive obligations in ADR proceedings as well as on the administrative supervision of ADR providers.
