This book presents the latest advances in cosmetic dermatology. Beginning with an introduction to the physiology, structure and function of skin and hair, the following chapter discusses non-invasive imaging techniques.
The next sections describe skin colour types, pigmentation, then the treatment of various dermatological conditions including pigmentary disorders, ultra-violet induced skin damage, dry skin, sensitive skin, acne, and skin aging. Two complete chapters are dedicated to hair and the scalp.
This useful reference is co-authored by Michèle Verschoore from L’Oréal, France, and includes more than 100 photographs, illustrations and tables, to enhance learning.
